1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a site can ask your browser to store and send back later. Local storage is a related place in the browser where a site can save a short value that is not automatically sent with every request. This policy covers both, because readers often use the word “cookie” for either.
2. What this site stores
Real Canada Invest does not set analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking cookies. The only values the interface writes are two preferences in local storage on your device.
| Key | What it stores | How long |
|---|---|---|
| eduNoticeAck | That you closed the educational notice | Until you clear site data |
| cookieConsent | Whether you chose Accept or Decline | Until you clear site data |
3. Necessary storage
The two keys above are the necessary record of choices you make in the interface. They are not used to identify you across other sites. The site can be read if they are absent. If they are absent, the educational notice and the storage notice can appear again.
4. Analytics
No analytics cookies are used. We do not run a traffic-measurement product on this site. We do not claim that one is active.
5. Advertising
No advertising cookies are used. The project’s revenue model includes advertising and free educational content, but this website does not currently load advertising scripts or ad-network cookies.
6. Third parties
We do not embed third-party cookie banners, social pixels, or video players. Typefaces are requested from Google Fonts. That is a network request for font files, not a cookie set by us. Google may process the request under its own policies. If you block third-party requests, the page still works and falls back to another sans-serif for visitors whose browser substitutes a face.
7. How to manage the choice
On a first visit, an educational notice appears, and after you close it a storage notice offers Accept and Decline. Accept stores cookieConsent as accepted. Decline stores it as declined. Either choice hides the notice. Clearing site data for realcanadainvest.com removes the choice.
8. Browser settings
You can block cookies and local storage in the browser’s settings, delete them for a single site, or use a private window that forgets them when it closes. The controls differ by browser. The browser’s own help pages are the accurate guide for the version you use.
9. Consent
Because the site does not set non-essential cookies, the notice is a record of your preference about storage on this device. It is not consent to analytics, advertising, or a financial product. Closing the educational notice acknowledges that the material is educational. It is not consent to advice, because no advice is offered.
10. If you decline or disable storage
The pages remain readable. The contact form still works, because it does not depend on these keys. You may see the notices again on later visits if the preference cannot be saved. Blocking all storage does not unlock any feature, and it does not hide the educational character of the site. The footer states that character on every page.
11. Retention
The preferences stay in your browser until you delete them or until the browser drops them under its own rules. We do not keep a server copy of the Accept or Decline choice. Contact-form retention is described in the Privacy policy.
